Celebrated German composer Hans Zimmer inaugurated the Roxy Cinemas Dubai Hills Mall walk of fame

Dubai: The multiple Academy Award-winning and highly celebrated German composer, Hans Zimmer, attended an exclusive evening with select guests at Roxy Cinemas, Dubai Hills Mall. The artist also inaugurated the Roxy Cinemas, Dubai Hills Mall’s walk of fame by participating in a handprint ceremony. Roxy guests will now be able to take a picture with a Hans Zimmer tile at the venue.

Zimmer shared the details of his impressive body of work during the interaction. Zimmer shared his personal experiences working with seasoned professionals in the industry and expressed the magnitude of work and passion that goes behind the productions. He also reflected on his inspiration and motivation behind the projects he works on. 

Speaking about his first upcoming performance in Dubai, Hans Zimmer, said “My instinct told me that right now Dubai is the place where poetry, music and art are merging.”

“I have this urge to go and do something new every time and do something which will move you and give you an experience. I want people to talk about it for weeks later,” he added.

Hans Zimmer is bringing his new breath-taking European tour “Hans Zimmer Live” to Dubai in January 2023 making this a special one-off concert taking place for the first time in the Middle East. Produced by Executive Visions Inc and RCI Global, this event is being brought to the United Arab Emirates by Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) as part of its Dubai Presents series and will be one of the closing shows of the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF).

Zimmer is recognised as one of Hollywood’s most innovative musical talents. His most notable work includes the soundtracks of The Lion King, Gladiator, The Last Samurai, the Pirates of the Caribbean series, The Dark Knight trilogy, Inception, Interstellar and Dunkirk, amongst many others.
