The waterfall where they filmed the bat cave scenes in The Dark Knight Rises is just a few hours away by train in the UK.

Henrhyd Falls in the Brecon Beacons was used as the entrance to Bruce Wayne’s bat cave, and it has to be said, the waterfall is much more remarkable in real life.

Henrhyd Falls is the tallest waterfall in South Wales and a Site of Special Scientific Interest.

What’s more, back in 2015, the site became much more accessible for visitors with the installation of a 40-metre boardwalk and more steps.

Judith Harvey, wardens manager for Brecon Beacons national park authority said at the time, “There has been a steady increase in visitors to the Nant Llech Trail and Henrhyd waterfall making it a popular walking destination in the Brecon Beacons.

“With work now complete, it means that people for many generations to come can really enjoy what Abercraf and the surrounding area has to offer, safe in the knowledge that they are not causing any damage.”

About Henrhyd Falls

The highest waterfall in South Wales is tucked away on the western edge of the Brecon Beacons. Plunging 90ft (27m) into a wooded gorge, Henrhyd waterfall is a spectacular sight and the surrounding Graig Llech Woods are a haven for wildlife.
