DUBAI: Ground-breaking performances from Arab singing sensations Nancy Ajram and Ragheb Alama, and a family-run with sporting legend Usain Bolt, will light up a crowded calendar at Expo 2020 Dubai this month – among a multitude of the reasons to visit during November.

The unmissable entertainment line-up includes music, dance, and sport, featuring illustrious talent from across the globe, together with the surprise factor courtesy of pop-up performances and masterclasses.

The world-renowned Les Ballets de Monte Carlo will showcase their famed moves at Dubai Millennium Amphitheatre on November 13 and 14, with 45 minutes of breath-taking, contemporary dance from the official national company of the Principality of Monaco.

The UAE and Brazil will join forces to attempt a new Guinness World Record for the largest Jiu-jitsu lesson on November 15. Visitors can witness this martial arts spectacle from Jubilee Park.

Also on November 15, audiences can enjoy a captivating performance by Brazilian guitar and mandolin players in Music in the Garden, which takes place at Al Wasl Stage, while Pakistani playback singer, songwriter, composer, and actor Atif Aslam will rock Expo’s Jubilee Stage on November 17.

Taking visitors on a journey from Australia to Chile, Colombia, Germany, India, the Philippines, Portugal, Somalia, Sudan, and the UAE, Expo 2020’s Jubilee Stage continues to stir a cultural melting pot with an eclectic line-up of music and dance performances at Jubilee Beats on November 19 and 20.

Egyptian singer Mohamed Hamaki, a coach on The Voice Ahla Sawt in 2019, will also play on the Jubilee Stage on November 26.

Le Due Lune (The Two Moons), an Italian performance based on Arabian Nights, featuring the World Youth Orchestra Ensemble, will take place at 2030 GST on 18 November at Dubai Millennium Amphitheatre.

On 24 November, Expo 2020 will introduce you to some of the sharpest minds on this planet at the World Chess Championship, which will see Magnus Carlsen defend his title against Russian number one Ian Nepomniachtchi.

Riverdance continues its toe-tapping November run with performances at Jubilee Stage on November 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 22, 23, 25, 26, and 27. Created specifically for Expo 2020, the unique spectacle comprises Emirati influences fused with traditional Irish music and dance to reflect the world coming together at the mega-event. The Irish stepdancers will also be teaching their quick-footed movements in a series of fun masterclasses that are complimentary for Expo 2020 ticket holders.

As capacities are limited, Expo ticket holders who wish to attend any of these shows are advised to arrive early to secure their spots. For Nancy Ajram and Ragheb Alama’s Infinite Nights show, visitors will also be able to soak up the atmosphere and watch the show on outdoor big screens at Dubai Millennium Amphitheatre and Jubilee Park.
