Dubai: Nakheel is prioritising staff health and taking fitness indoors to escape the heat, with the Nakheel 100 Million Steps Challenge.

In partnership with fitness app STEPPI, staff will aim to take a total of 100 million steps, from 1 August until 31 October, through mini office challenges, indoor group activities and classes to hit the goal, whilst promoting team spirit and increasing fitness levels.

Over the next three months, mini office exercises will be run by specialist trainers and staff will participate in indoor activities such as badminton, Zumba classes and walks at Nakheel’s popular destinations across Dubai, such as Nakheel Mall and Circle Mall.

The challenge kicked off with a 5,000 Steps Walk, with pre-challenge health checks on offer to measure fitness levels and help staff set individual goals.

The Nakheel 100 Million Steps Challenge is in line with Nakheel’s continued efforts to promote holistic well-being and a culture of self-health management amongst staff and within its communities, such as the LiveWell with Nakheel initiative, a health and wellbeing programme for all residents of Dubai, which takes place in Nakheel’s communities.
