The Unique Identification Authority of India (UADAI) has inaugurated a new “Order Aadhaar Card” service which allows residents to issue their Aadhaar letter reprint by paying nominal charges of Rs. 50, in the event that the holder’s Aadhaar letter has been lost, misplaced or if they want a new copy.

Residents without a mobile number are also free to avail of the new service by using a non-registered or an alternative number.

The Aadhaar PVC card may be obtained online and the overall charge of Rs 50 includes all taxes as well as delivery services, given that the holder choses to order the item via Speed Post, confirmed the UIDAI in a tweet.

The Aadhaar PVC Card is the newest form of Aadhaar introduced by UIDAI, safeguarded by multiple security features while also retaining its durable and easy-to-carry merits. The digital locks include a secure QR code with photograph and demographic details, among other encryptions.

The resident may utilise their Aadhaar Number, Virtual Identification Number or EID to order the card.
