Here’s how students can use Dubai Taxi in the new academic year 2022-2023

Dubai: The Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) at the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) confirmed the preparedness of the school transport sector for the start of the new academic year 2022-2023. School buses equipped with the latest technologies are fully ready to run a safe and smooth mobility service for more than 24,000 students across Dubai.

DTC affirmed its keenness as a leading government entity in providing school transport services, to invest its vast experience and capabilities in providing secure and sustainable services in accordance with the highest standards of security, safety and surveillance standards approved in Dubai.

Providing such services is intended to meet the requirements of academic institutions as well as the students and parents in the emirate.

The improvements made to the bus fleet and the school transport services reflect the continuous commitment of the DTC towards effectively contributing to translating the policies of leaders to bring about a quantum shift in the school transport services to high excellence standards.

DTC is making every effort to boost the confidence of students and parents as well as the educational institutions in its services to make DTC the first choice for school transport services as it fits with the strategic objectives directed at bringing about a positive impact on the community and accordingly enhancing the profile of Dubai as one of the happiest cities in the world.

DTC is committed to keeping pace with the continuous research and development programmes to equip its school buses fleet with cutting-edge technologies and systems including surveillance cameras and sensors to ensure that no student is left behind on any bus.

Buses are fitted with emergency notification systems synchronised with the control centre, students and GPS bus tracking systems for bus boarding and disembarkation locations of students, and an identification system using RFID technology. Buses are also fitted with a system for self-extinguishing engine fires compatible with the highest local and international standards of quality and safety.

All bus drivers and supervisors are subjected to intensive training programmes by specialised and certified trainers to train them on safe and responsible driving practices in line with RTA’s legislation that prioritise the safety of students. They are also trained on how to cope with emergency conditions, and deliver First Aid and other services.
