India cancels Air Suvidha forms for international passengers

India: India’s Ministry of Civil Aviation announced that the self-declaration form that had to be filled in by incoming international passengers on the Air Suvidha portal, has now been discontinued.

The government announced that the move has been taken in view of the decline in cases of coronavirus and significant advances being made in Covid-19 vaccination coverage globally and in India.

The self-declaration form that had to be filled in by incoming international passengers on the Air Suvidha portal has now been discontinued. Air Suvidha forms have been discontinued for international flyers.

“In the light of sustained declining Covid-19 trajectory and significant advances being made in Covid-19 vaccination coverage both globally as well as in India, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare has issued revised ‘Guidelines for International Arrivals,” a notice from the Civil Aviation ministry read. The decision would come into effect from 12 am on November 22.

About Air Suvidha

Air Suvidha is an online system for international passengers to submit a self-declaration form to declare their current health status. All international arriving passengers are required to fill the self-declaration form as mandated by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. Inbound travellers to India looking to register their arrival and complete the self-declaration form are able to do so through the Air Suvidha portal. Additionally, the Air Suvidha portal registration service is the same for all travellers irrespective of their nationality, vaccination status, preferred airline, or destination city.
