‘Only MS Dhoni called me’ – Virat Kohli reveals that no one called him when he left test captaincy

Dubai: During the after-match PC of the India vs Pakistan match in Asia cup 2022 on Sunday, Indian batsman Virat Kohli revealed that MS Dhoni was the only one to call him after he left India’s Test captaincy despite many having his number.

Virat Kohli was speaking to the media and on a question on his crisis time and how he copes up that Virat Kohli said, “I can say that, MS Dhoni was the only one to call him after he left Test captaincy, although many have my number. They give a lot of suggestions and tips on TV but nobody reached out to me individually and that TV criticism or suggestions hardly matters to me personally,” Kohli said.

Talking about MS Dhoni, Kohli said, “our connections are genuine and it has some security. We aren’t insecure & have respect for each other. If I want to help someone, I’ll reach out to him individually. I won’t give him suggestions in front of the public as that doesn’t have any value to me. If you genuinely want someone to improve, you can give them suggestions one on one as well. These things matter a lot to me because I want to live my life with honesty and in my own way.”

Sunday’s match was a comeback match for Virat Kohli, as he scored a half-century in the first innings.
