Scientists discover traces of water on Moon

For the first time ever, scientists — who believed it to be bone dry up till a decade ago — have found traces of water within the craters at the sunlit areas of the Moon: the poles!
The discovery was made by NASA’s Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy [SOFIA] telescope — the largest of its kind worldwide.
