1 million books on sale with unbelievable discounts: Big Bad Wolf Book Sale in Dubai

DUBAI: With 1 million books in its arsenal, and in strategic partnership with Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), the World’s Biggest Book Sale, the Big Bad Wolf Books returns to Dubai after a two-year hiatus which was due to the Pandemic during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

Starting from April 14, the Bid Bad Wolf Book Sale in Dubai will go on until April 24, offering quality and amazing books with discounts from 50% – 80% off the recommended retail price.  

Open daily for 11 consecutive days, the Book Sale will be stocked with a host of genres that are sure to have something for everyone, from kids and adults alike. And the best part is the Book Sale is free for all to enter.  Big Bad Wolf Books is offering many bundle offers and competitions for visitors and readers.  

The brainchild of BookXcess founders Andrew Yap and Jacqueline Ng, the duo founded the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale in 2009. It began as a warehouse sale in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where they offered an exciting array of books from international distributors. The low prices and large selection of books drew attention, and the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale quickly became a national landmark event.

Andrew’s journey as a car enthusiast is one of inspiration. Despite having a learning disability, Malaysian-born Andrew has always made certain that his disability, as well as the lack of libraries in Malaysia, has never hampered his love of reading and books.

The duo’s main goal behind the sale was to increase readership and English literacy in Malaysia because there seemed to be only one book shop available at the time. Having its roots in Malaysia, the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale has now successfully extended its footprint to Cambodia, Indonesia, Korea, Myanmar, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, and of course, the Philippines. With no plans to stop, the voracious reader duo is making reading affordable for their counterparts around the world.

Premiered in UAE for its first edition in 2018, the Big Bad Wolf Book team has seen immense success in its book sales. Returning for its third edition during the Holy Month of Ramadan, avid readers can begin gearing up for the wide range of high-quality books that will be available.
